Abstract

The aim of work is to present the diversity of flora and their variety in terms of habitat requirements. The research was conducted in the area of two urban parks in the area of Bedzin and Czeladz city in southern Poland. These parks have different period of origin and the way of management and plans.  The results of investigation showed that in Gora Zamkowa park was noticed the occurrence of 192 and in Grabek park 334 vascular plant species. Such differences is a results of occurrence of micro habitats and with management of parks. It also connected with park function. In first case the area of park is protected by low. In second case the anthropogenic impact create a new ecological niche for organisms with high ecological tolerance.

Based on the ecological values, the following groups of plants were distinguished: saxifrages grasslands, xerothermic grasslands, beech forests, alder forests and artificial planted trees. The analyses have shown that the urban parks are potential places for growth various type of vegetation and also increasing of biodiversity. The ecological and floristically diversity also has positive influence especially in urbanized and industrialized region.
