Abstract
Noise can cause many harmful effects in the recipients. People exposed to its long-term effects, can get used to it, even despite exceeding permissible levels. Green areas in cities create the climate, that gives opportunity to rest and relax. Spa parks are a special kind of greenery, which, in addition, to the features above-mentioned, suport medical treatment. Besides, organization of social life and entertainment plays important role in spas. Multitude of sounds, in such an area, may cause that the comfort of staying is deteriorated.
The aim of the paper is to analyze the relations between the results of noise measurements and the feelings of people exposed to being in its influence zone. The analyzed area is a spa park in Inowrocław, where on the basis of seasonal measurements (summer and winter) the relation between the values of equivalent sound levels and the feelings of people staying there was determined. Statistical analysis ehich takes the correlation between test results and feelings into account shows the differences in perception of sounds heard. The results allow to estimate the soundscape of the research area.
