Abstract
One of the reasons for inefficient wastewater treatment is easily degradable organic material shortages. Hydrolysis increased readily biodegradable organic matter content is beneficial - sewage cleanup by all indicators become more efficient. The primary sludge hydrolysis take place the conditions necessary for the installation of the pumps allows wastewater treatment plants and precipitator while keeping the original sludge in it for 6-8 days. Preliminary experimental in one of the treatment plant primary settling tanks, installation of pumps, has been given appropriate hydrolysis conditions: hydraulic load q ~ 1.3 m3/m2/h, sludge age ~ 6 days, the temperature about 15° C, pH of approximately 8. Effluent after hydrolysis of COD concentration was 17%, and BOD5 concentration - 18% higher than runoff from the normal working (without hydrolysis) settler. Waste water from the settling tank (with hydrolysis) obtained higher (better) COD and BOD5 relationship with phosphorus and nitrogen compounds than the effluent from the settling tank which worked without hidrolysis. Preliminary studies have shown good results in the future to continue the true primary sludge hydrolysis optimization experiments.
