Abstract

During the building and reconstruction or roads asphalt of hot mixing is prepared and laid in high temperature. Due to different cooling thermal segregation evidences, it usually takes place during the storing, transportation of aasphalt material and laying of asphalt cover. If the temperature of asphalt mixture is not constant, the degree of compaction can fluctuate, it will inevitably pedestine poor maintenance characteristics of the laid asphalt cover. In this paper the factors determining the quality of laying of asphalt cover have been studied and the results of the cover repair of the chosen road stretch employing the solutations of introduction of control of asphalt mixture compaction conditions have been analysed, aiming to extend the period of service of motor ways asphalt cover and reduce the construction costs. The data were received from facilities of asphalt cover compaction system TOPCON-63A fitted in the rollers and device TROXLER 3451 employed for self-control tests. The results of the control measurement were also received by performing the extraction of asphalt mixtures.
